IPFax is an email-based fax service.

Both sending and receiving faxes is handled via e-mail.

Receiving a fax

Incoming faxes for the company's fax number are received by IPFax' gateway and sent by e-mail to the company - usually to the address fax@"domain" (eg fax@dantronic.eu).

The contents of the fax are attached as a PDF document that can be opened with the Acrobat Reader application.

Sending a fax

Faxing can be done from any of the company's computers. The e-mail with the fax content attached is sent to IPFax' fax gateway, specifying the recipient's fax number:

"Fax number "@mail2fax.dk (eg 69121601@mail2fax.dk)

You attach the content you want to send.

The following formats are supported:

  • pdf (Portable Document Format)
  • doc (Microsoft Word)
  • xls (Microsoft Excel)
  • txt (Text document)

Only one document can be attached per e-mail fax. For security reasons, the e-mail sender address must be from the corporate domain. It is not possible to send faxes from private email addresses.
