When you record a Teams online meeting, you record audio, video, chat, screen sharing, PowerPoint slides, and polls. All presentation hosts can record a meeting and save for later playback, editing and distribution.
How to record a Teams meeting
During a Teams online meeting, click on the three dots in the navigation bar and click Start recording.
Everyone in the meeting is informed that the meeting is now being recorded - partly by an information bar at the top of the window and partly as a point in the meeting's chat history.
To stop recording again, click the three dots again and then select Stop recording.
Note that one-on-one online meetings cannot be recorded.
... and when you and the other attendees have to find the video again
Well, it's quite simple.
The recording is automatically placed in the Office 365 service Stream, from which you can play it. Stream is comparable to YouTube.
The recording is initially available to the people who attended the meeting, but as the owner of the recording you can easily share it with others if you feel like it. Of course, you can also delete it.
The recording will feature in the meeting participants' chat history from which they can play it.
If you want to share the recording with other people, you can go into Stream and find the video. Here you can both adjust who can see the video and generate a link to the video - which you can then distribute.
