When recording a Skype meeting, you are recording sound, video, chat, screen sharing, PowerPoint slides, whiteboards and polls. All presentation hosts can record a Skype meeting and save it for later use.
How to record a Skype meeting:
- Start a Skype meeting
- During the meeting, click the Settings icon with the three dots in the bottom right of the meeting window.
- Then click Start recording.
Use the toolbar in the bottom of the meeting window to pause, resume or stop the recording.
To see who else is recording, hover over the red recording button at the top right of the window.
After the recording
Recordings are by default saved to your c-drive and can be played, edited and distributed from there. If you want another default destination or want to change the quality settings, simply click the cogwheel icon and pick Recordings from the menu on the left.
Skype for Business automatically saves recordings in the MP4 format that works in most video players, including Windows Media Player.
